Masjid Quba – The First Mosque In Islam

Masjid Quba is a very important mosque located just outside of Medina. It was the first mosque built in Islam, constructed in 622 CE when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his followers Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique moved from Mecca to Medina. The mosque is named after the village where it’s located, Quba. It’s known for its simplicity and spiritual significance. Where is Masjid al Quba located:

Quba mosque is outside the city of Madinah, approximately 5 kilometres from the village of Quba in Saudi Arabia. Before the construction of Masjid Nabawi in Madinah, Masjid al Quba served as the primary place of worship for Muslims. However, several years later, after the expansion of Madinah, Masjid e Quba became and a popular place of ziyarat and worship inside the boundaries of the sacred city of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
